PVSolver has make 3 mock-ups for 3 most typical roof-top solution for our Hong Kong customer.
Type 1: Typical Metal Roof
The mounting structure is secured on the rooftop via a proper clamp that fits the roof profile, so it will not lead to any potential leakage.
Type 2: Typical Tile Roof
To mount solar modules on Tile Roof, the worker needs to take out couple of tiles first and find the position of the timber underneath the tile.
Then the proper and right dimension hooks will be mounted on the timber purlin, and the rails will be install on the protruded part of the hook as picture below:
Type 3: Typical Concrete Roof
Normally we propose no drilling on concrete roof, and concrete stumps with specified dimension shall be casted on roof top with spacing as designed.
Then the base plate will be secured on those concrete stumps, afterwards, the vertical pole or other parts will be mounted on the base plate.
